How do you engage your mind each day?
Do you take time to listen to a podcast, something that is of interest to you. Maybe it is a podcast about new upcoming bands or maybe it is a political podcast. I take some time out surprise surprise to listen to podcasts about yoga or wellness. I find that they can be thought provoking and maybe give me a new perspective on how I look at both my own life but maybe even my classes and my teaching.
Other ways I like to engage my mind is reading, I have a couple of books on the go at the moment. I like to read a book cover to cover and then I might like to dip in and out of a book depending on the book as some might need a little more exploration.
Whatever you do just ensure that it is for you and interests you, don't feel that you should do it just because others are, it needs to be personal otherwise it won't stay with you.
Writing in a journal can be a great way to engage the mind each day, it is a great way to release the thoughts of a busy mind, just let the thoughts flow from the mind through to the pen to the paper.
